Never forgotten

If you had a cat that enriched your life and you’d like to honour them here please email to Howsyourcat77@gmail.com

Poppy lived with us since she was just a kitten. She loved playing outside and bringing in little “gifts” for our mom in the form of still living birds. She made our lives so much more complete, and happy. My favourite memories of her will always be going over to mom’s and her rushing back in the house for cuddles the second she knew I was there. I hope the rainbow bridge offers you the best slices of ham, sweet girl.
I love you Poppy, you are forever the best cat. ❤️
We first met Henry in 2012 after my husband James picked him out of all the cats we saw on the Lincoln Cat Care website needing homes. He said we had to go and see him. His name was Sooty then, and he was being fostered by a family in North Hykeham. As soon as we saw him we fell in love. He extended his long legs out to greet us and let us hold him straight away.
Henry was about 2 when he came to live with us, and gave us many years of companionship and affection.
He saw me through my diagnosis of breast cancer and subsequent treatment and was a great comfort to me in the  years when my husband was ill and after his death in 2021. Henry was a real lap cat and we were devoted to each other. He always slept next to my pillow and loved to be cuddled.  I have never known such an affectionate adorable cat. He died in November 2024 aged about 14.
I have other cats in my life now including another black one, little Suzi, and her sister Sasha, both from Lincoln Cat Care. They bring me so much love and joy, but there will only ever be one Henry and he will always have a special place in my heart.
R.I.P. my sweet handsome boy….
