settled in 5 Dear Brian, I could not possibly be happier with Maggie. It took her a couple of months to settle properly down to knowing this was her home. I’ve been so proud and pleased to see her relax and be more confident. I’ve slowly introduced her to visitors in the house. She’s become used to the noises. She’s started enjoying being outside…I strongly suspect she was an indoor cat previously! She has always been incredibly affectionate since the first or second day. She talks to me now a lot, and is ridiculously purry and snuggly, yet isn’t neurotic with it. She’s very clean and tidy, and so polite too!! I wasn’t expecting to love her as much as I do actually because I’d lost my very characterful cat a few months before and i didn’t think I’d love another one as much. But i really do. I adore her actually. I’m thrilled to bits with her and i know she’s become attached to me too. After about 6 weeks of having her, i took her to the vet because she was itchy. She has a sensitive skin so the lovely vet at Collingham gave her an injection which has sorted it out. I hadn’t realised she also was missing nearly all her teeth and the vet said she had had a horrible and painful condition where her teeth were reabsorbed or something. I was so upset to think of her in pain that long and not looked after by her previous owners. I was appalled to learn she had been taped up in a box. So its made me extra specially glad that she is so happy here. Thank you all so much for the incredible work you do. I regularly share your posts and would consider adopting another were it not for Maggie I think preferring to live alone. I wouldn’t want to disrupt her life or make her stressed again. With many thanks!Zoe
